"Hi Maddi!" I yelled, walking up her driveway followed by Dilshen, Kieran and Kim
"Sup" She replied
"Maddi, can you lift the flagpole onto our tree hut?" Kieran asked
"Sure" she said
Rosie, Maddi's little sister ran up and hugged me
"I painted it that coulor" she told me
"You sure did" I said, picking her up and hugging her back as Maddi climbed up into our group's new tree hut

Day 14

Everyone that wanted to go home is standing on the beach
"So-" Maddi began "I can take 7 people at a time and that will be about 4 trips, won't it Haylee?"
"7 x 4 is 28, so yes Maddi, it will be 4 trips" I replied
"Cool" Maddi said "I'm guessing each trip will take 1/4 an hour"
1:34pm Day 14
I was in the last trip home and used the extra time to walk/fly around the island. I sighed, not wanting to leave
"I'm sad to go too" Kim said walking up behind me
"Kim!! You frightened me!" I said, she smiled
"When we get back you will have to make clothes as a business" I told her
"I could make a lot of money" she said
"Haylee, Kim!!!" Maddi called "Are you coming?"
"Goodbye Matainui" I whispered and followed Kim to the beach

The 'raid' on the mountain was surprisingly easy, we went in, there was this mutant thing that Maddi said was MrWoody and a couple of aliens that Dilshen and Kieran dealt with. We freed MrWoody by making him look through our amulets
"A++++++++++++++++" He yelled,
We laughed and took an alien with us when we went back to camp. The alien confirmed what we already thought, the world was destroyed by unsustainability and the good aliens had placed a protective bubble around some areas that were still sustainable. Matainui had been one of them, the aliens like the one we captured had killed the other good aliens. So get this, the year is 3059 not 2009 like we thought it was. Really scary isn't?
3:08pm Day 13
We have now turned everyone on the island back to normal, well, at least the mutants.

8:24am Day 12
I woke up, yawned, and smiled

"Only 2 more days everyone" I announced
"Hopefully" Kim added. I took my new clothes Kim had made from the cotton and hemp plants she had grown and headed for the changing room. The clothes were sooooo cool, a Blue singlet designed to be worn over another pink singlet, with a white denim skirt and pink tights. Maddi and Kim's outfits were cool too, but the boys just wore plain shirts and denim shorts. I grinned at Kim
"Thanks!" I said, looking at Maddi's outfit. It was a gold skirt over black tights with a black singlet and a white cardigan. Kim's outfit was cool too, with a green dress over white tights.
"Your welcome" She replied
"Come on, lets hurry up and have some food!" Kieran exclaimed, looking hungrily at the cooking pot
"Whats for breakfast?" Dilshen asked
"Kim?" Maddi and I looked at her questioningly
"Well-" She began, thinking hard
"I know, I'll grow some berries"
"Yum!" we chorused
10:00am Day 12
"Hi, I'm back" Maddi called (she had gone to investigate the mountain a bit more)
"What did you find?"
"Well, I went in this other tunnel and there was this operating room with aliens inside, and MrWoody was tied onto it and there was a tube pumping a green liquid into his brain. Yuck isn't it?"
"Yep"
"Will we save him?" Kieran asked
"You just want good grades" I said
"We may as well" Kim said
"I think we should practice using our powers" Dilshen said. So for the rest of the afternoon I practiced making all the water inside whatever we were fighting evaporate, which, if it didn't kill whatever it was, made it easier for Kieran to burn. Not exactly a pleasent thing.

"Are you sure...?" Maddi began
"What else can we do?"
"Not much" There was a loud rumbling noise as Kim clicked the gem in place...

The view from up here is amazing, but I probably should explain first, the rumblings went on for an hour all of us screaming in fright the whole time, the water drained out of the tunnel above us and the cavern, we appeared to be rising. The wost thing was that our hands were stuck to the amulets until the rumbling stopped. When that was finished a mountain had risen up out of the water, and the star-stone was sitting at the summit, with us sitting by it. But, when I went to pick my amulet up from the stone it broke into 5 small amulets, and the same thing happened to all the other ones.

"Sup Maddi"
"Morning, Oops afternoon"
"Hows life?" I asked, then screamed as I suddenly floated up
"What happened?" I asked Maddi
"We must be able to control all the things now" Maddi reasoned
"See, all of us have a small one of all the amulets" She continued
"Cool" I said and lit a fire in mid air, making it fly around.
"Show off" Maddi said.
Day 10

This is so weird, me and Maddi went into the cave entrance from the proper way in and looked at all the carvings and... there was this one with 5 amulets linked together but, this is the weird thing, the amulets had jewels were the irises should be, the same shape and colour as ours and each jewel was glowing.
"Come see this you guys!!" Maddi yelled up to Dilshen, Kieran and Kim, who were waiting above,
"What is it?" Dilshen yelled back
"An interesting carving!" I replied
"O.K, we're coming"
"This is so exiting, I wonder what it means?" I asked Maddi
"We'll find out soon" Maddi said watching Dilshen float down with Kim and Kieran held behind in some sort of gravity free bubble, I clipped her amulet to mine and then Kim, Dilshen and Kieran handed me their amulets so I clipped them together and clipped the amulets to the raised stone fixed to the wall. As I put them in place the carvings glowed blue and from the center a message was projected, it was in an alien script so Kieran held the Ank over it to translate it and Kim read;
You must dive, to Sapphires home,
Each of you must use your own.
Deep deep down, by the bright star stone,
A light must fall, from the unknown.
Yellow sparkles in the heart,
Each of the jewels must do their part.
From the crater, land will arise,
A place of anguish, in disguise...
"Cool, I love riddles!" I exclaimed"Y-e-d-a-y-e-f-a, what could that mean?" Dilshen asked
"What the hey are you on?" Kieran asked Dilshen, while the rest of us looked at him and thought the same thing,
"See-" Dilshen began
"The first letter in each line in each line, Y-e-d-a-y-e-f-a"
"So that means?..."
"Dunno"
"Um, peeps, is it something to do with the radioactive river, that Dilshen nearly fell into?"
"Don't think so, see, how could a light fall into an underwater river? and it's to deep for this star stone to be visible"
"So, it said to Dive to sapphires home"
"Sapphire is more pure water, and the river is to polluted with radiation"
"So..." We all looked at each other and nodded, we had reached the same conclusion at the same time, we jumped into the air and flew towards the lake.
1:34pm Day 10
I don't know if you have ever flown before, but it is the most free feeling that you will ever get, as I flew towards the lake I relaxed, lying in the air.
"Hello, this is your captain speaking" Kieran said, setting us off giggling. We were all carrying the few items we had left, 5 journals, Rope, 1 Cooking pot and 5 sleeping bags.
"Flight #7645 will be ending shortly, please fasten seat belts and prepare for descent to sector #1137" Kieran continued
"A.K.A the lake" Kim said
"Kim, you killed it!" Kieran complained
"So anyway, get on the lookout for craters, falling stars and Sapphire homes" I commanded
"Dilshen, fly around above the lake, Kim, Kieran, you guys can look around the edges and Maddi, you can be a drifter, help Dilshen for a bit then come help me"
"Yessir" Kieran mocked
"But what about you?" Kim asked
"I will look around underneath the surface of the lake, I can breath water as well as air, remember? and Maddi can make a bubble of air around herself."
"O.K, to your stations everybody!" Dilshen yelled
"Rodger" Maddi, Kim, Kieran and I replied, as if we had rehearsed it, Dilshen floated off, Kim and Kieran started examining the waters edge and Maddi and I dived into the dark, cold lake...
9:27pm Day 10
We were sitting by the fire staring at the stars, Maddi and I hadn't told the others what we found, yet. Dilshen randomly pointed to a small, bright star and, using his ability to control space, dragged it downwards, as it broke free of whatever gravity holding it up, it plummeted down to earth, splashing in the lake. I watched it intently, and when it splashed exactly were I hoped it would, I jumped up. Turning to find Maddi had jumped up too we screamed excitedly and sped off, Me floating through the water just as fast as Maddi, who was flying over top. I reached the tunnel in the lake first and swam down twisting and turning until at the chamber at the bottom I stopped, and smiled. I was right, the fallen star had landed right in the middle of the chamber
"The rhyme was right" Maddi thought
"Yes" I replied, we were communicating telepathically, in other words mind to mind. I recited the rhyme by heart

11:42pm Day 10
I fidgeted impatiently as Maddi cast a bubble of air around Dilshen, Kim, Kieran and Herself, But, soon enough we were zooming along underwater. We reached the crater of the submerged Mountain and swam downwards, towards the fallen star. Once we were in the chamber at the bottom, Maddi expanded her air bubble to cover the entire cavern,
"See, the star is there, the one Dilshen made fall. And look at the inscription." I told everybody
"Whoa!"
"Cool!"
"Eeek!"
"I know, lets press our amulets into the inscription, everyone put their own one in"
"O.K."
"Nothings happening"
"Where's the yellow?"
"Yellow, what yellow?"
"Yellow sparkles in the heart" Dilshen quoted
"Is it this Topaz? It does sparkle" Kim asked picking up a large topaz from the floor
"Where was that?"
"On the floor, here I'll put it in"

Day 9

I am sick and tired, can you guess why? Yes, your right, Maddi is complaining cause she doesn't have an amulet and everyone else does. Dilshen claims he likes her better when she is in a faint, but Maddi does have a point, I think I'll ask if we can look for an amulet for her. To shut her up more than anything else :-].
10:04am Day 9
Well we found Maddi an amulet, finally, and she has shut up, finally. We were flying in our capsules and for once I didn't crash (what an achievement) anyway Maddi was flying along and noticed something floating in the air she flew towards it, it flew away,
"Duck," Maddi began
"It's a mirage" when something hit her on her head
"Ouch!"
"What?" I asked
"An amulet hit my head!"
"Cool, did you find one?"
"Hey, it was floating?!"
"Cool, let's go back to the spaceship and fit the last jewel into your amulet, I think you must be able to control air, it's the only element left" Dilshen suggested
"Oh well, If I can control air, I can fly!!!"
"I can breath underwater, beat that!"
I forgot to write it in my diary yesterday, I can control water, it's really cool, I kept putting the fire out to annoy Kieran cause he is 'chief fire lighter' But he can control fire so it doesn't make much a difference, I think he annoyed me by lighting the fire more that I annoyed him by putting in out. So anyway where was I? Oh right we were flying back to out spaceship to put the gem in Maddi's amulet, there was a bright flash, same as on mine, the gem glowed, same as on mine and Maddi started flying, not the same as me. Oh well, mine was cooler (no offense Maddi).

I woke up from my faint to hear Kim and Dilshen discussing 'Healing our eyes'. I gathered that Kim had some flower petals that could heal our eyes, I only started listening properly when she said something about 'Earth powers' I moaned
"Haylee!!!"
"You’re awake!"
"Finally!"
"How’s your throat?"
"I still can't breathe well"
"I have some flower petals that might heal you eyes, but your still very pale and the petals won't work on your throat. We'll wait for Maddi to wake up and then try"
"Well, my eyes can't get much worse, but my throat can"
"Same here" Maddi said
"Maddi! How are you? How long have you been awake?" Kim asked
"Here you guys, try these" Kim laid the petals on our eyes, or should I say 'Gemstone lens covering our eyes'. I couldn't feel anything, but it must have worked because I felt the gems disintegrate and when I stood up the lens fell away
"I can see!!!" I yelled
"Here, look through the gem on my amulet, it should stop the radioactivity" Kim suggested, I did and watched in amazement as my skin changed back to its normal tone
“Where were those gems?” I asked noticing one in Dilshen’s amulet as well as Kieran’s.
“They were the ones you found, one fits into each amulet, here’s your amulet, we thought you would want to put the gem inside. Oh, and, by the way, the amulets, once the have the right gem inside allow us to control one specific element. Mine is earth, Kieran’s is fire and Dilshen’s is space!”
“Wow, Cool!!!” Maddi replied
“When did you find your amulet, Kim?” I asked
“Yesterday” she replied
“So,” I began “If you guys control Earth, Fire and Space that leaves Air and Water for Maddi and I, and judging by the colours I’d say that the sapphire is Water and the Diamond air, and the Sapphire fits in my amulet so I must control Water.” Explaining it more to myself than anyone else.
“Well, Cool!!!!!”

"Hayl-l-lee?"Kim asked, Waking me up
"MMMMMMM?" I replied turning around.
"O.K!! Whats happening??!!" I asked.
"I can't see and - woah!! Maddi your eyes!!!!"
"Yeah, you too!" She exclaimed. "I think it was those flowers!! They looked poisonous!! "
"RADIOACTIVITY!!!!!!!!" Dilshen claimed.
"Yes!!" Kieran agreed "Thats what turned your eyes into gems!".
"Gems?!?" I asked, and Maddi fainted
"So-" I began, but got no further. I gasped and held my throat
"I... C-c-c-a-a-n't... B-b-b-b-rea-t-t-h!" I screamed

Day 5
7:30am Day 5
Over breakfast of half a protein and a drink - not exactly what you'd call satisfying - we discussed the prospect of a group 'fly'.
"WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!" Maddi yelled
"This ROCKS!!!" I screamed
"I Believe I can fly-" Kieran sang
"I Believe the capsule can fly" Kim said
"Kim, you killed it" Dilshen moaned
"As per normal" I said The capsules all had speakers so we could here each other talking,
"Look, there's the lake!" Maddi exclaimed
"AAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!" I screamed, losing control of my capsule, I briefly saw Maddi fly towards me as I plunged into the lake
"The lake is radioactive, but the capsules will be strong enough to protect Haylee, I think" I heard Maddi say
"Your right, I'm fine - Oh, whats that, it looks like a-"
"HAAAYYYYLLEEEEEEEE!!! We can't hear you - We're losing you!!!" I heard Maddi scream,
"But I can hear you fine-" I started but realized they would only hear crackling. I saw a little amulet like Dilshen's and Kieran's - except an anklet one, so I used hook above my capsule, and grabbed it and tried to bring it in my capsule, but it was stuck, so I went deeper and I wriggled it loose, and came back up.
11:00am Day 5
Everyone had made a big fuss when I came up again, but then went quiet and thoughtful when I told them about the amulet,
"Hey peeps, I just noticed this, the irises of the amulets are all different" Kim said. And it was true, my amulet had a 4 pointed star inside
"I wanna find an amulet" Maddi and Kim whined in unison
"Well, let's go look for some" Kieran said, everyone agreed enthusiastically.
"Maybe there's some on that island" I suggested
"Good idea, we'll look there first" Maddi replied. I flew down across the ocean,
"Haylee, be careful-" Suddenly... I lost control of my capsule... Again
"HAAAYYLLLEEEEEE!!!!!" Maddi screamed
"NOOOOOOOO" Kim screamed
"AAHHHHHHHHH" I screamed
I fell through the water, screaming, and landed in a small cave. As my capsule drifted along, inside the cave I realized that it was filled with air, not water. I was examining some of the plants inside the cave when Maddi burst in,
"Maddi!!!"
"Haylee!!!"
We were walking over to our capsules when a loud bang shook us, we looked around and saw a crack in the wall,
"It looks like it was put there deliberately" Maddi said, running her finger over the crack, with a grinding noise, the rock wall slid back, revealing a strange wooden box covered with intricate carvings, sitting by a plant of green flowers with yellow middles and purple stems.
"Lets take the box" I suggested
"Yeah-" As Maddi and I brushed the flowers aside and picked up the box, the cave started collapsing. We looked at each other, nodded, and ran towards the capsules, only just making it out.
2:00pm Day 5
" We found **puff** this random box." Maddi said, giving the box to Dilshen.
"This is weird." Kim exclaimed.
"Open **puff** it!" I said.
"O.K" Kieran said, obediently unlatching it.
"What's **puff** inside" Maddi demanded.
"There are 5 valuable jewels in here!" Dilshen replied.
"Cool! **puff**" I replied.
"We better get you back! You guys are looking pale!" Kieran claimed.
"Good **puff** idea" Maddi replied.
We flew back to our 'home' and while the others ate, Maddi and I slept. We were both feeling extremely tired and sick. Not good.

I woke up to the sound of something cooking, yawned, and sat up Maddi and Kim were talking to each other and stirring what appeared to be breakfast. Dilshen and Kieran were still asleep.
"Morning all" I greeted Maddi and Kim
"Your awake" Maddi replied
"Sleep in much" Kim said
"I can't help it, I'm tired" I shot back
"Well" Maddi began "You'd better get dressed before they wake up" pointing a thumb in the general direction of Dilshen and Kieran. I dressed quickly and joined Maddi and Kim at the breakfast pot,
"Haylee, do you think there might be more amulets?" Kim asked
"Cause Dilshen and Kieran have found some and we were thinking there might be more"
"Good point, there's no reason why we shouldn't find any"
"Anyway, do you two think that Marek might come back and bring his group?" Maddi asked
"I hope not"
"He probably will" Kim said
"We'll make up a tale to tell them, to get them away if they do come"
"Let's say that there is another spaceship down the mountain"
"Sounds good" Kieran said
"How long have you been there" I demanded

Marek's group just came, Believe it or not, they swallowed the story. So, we were talking about random stuff, Kim was killing every joke we said and stuff like that. As you do. Suddenly we held a loud knocking coming from the door. Marek and his group. **Groan**. Maddi opened the door
"So, Hows life?" she asked
"Not to bad" was the reply
"Well-" Maddi began and told them the story we had made up
"Cool, O.K. thanks!" and they walked of. Just like that.
"I feel bad" Maddi said
"Don't worry" Dilshen said. Suddenly VVRRROOOOOOOOMMM!!!, Kim flew of in one of the capsules slowly gaining control.
"KIM!!!" Maddi yelled

At about 3:30 Kim showed up
"What happened?" I asked
"Well, I tried to fly out of the island, but I couldn't, kind of like a force field around the island, and then I saw a gap in the force field so I flew out, and the outside of the island was all, yuck and dark and there was no sun, moon, stars or anything. Like the moon, or Armageddon I just flew back in."
"So, there is like a force field around the island, protecting us from the stuff outside. I wonder who put it there?" I asked no-one in particular
"Aliens?" Kim asked
"Maybe" Maddi said "Maybe"

Kim woke me up about 5 minuets ago and claimed that the walls were shining
"Of all the ridicules stories- Oh they are!?!" I replied yawning.
"Maddi woke up because she had a nightmare, and woke me up and said the walls were shining. I walked over, tripped and my hand brushed against the wall and it knocked away some clay and the walls underneath were shiny" By now everyone was awake and brushing the walls
3:00pm Day 3
We are in an alien spaceship **Scream**
Kieran, Maddi and I went to find a alien hand bone **Scream**
Dilshen Disappeared **Scream**
So here's what happened... We brushed all the clay off the walls and found that it was a room, there was some sort of hand pad on the floor but it only had 3 fingers and a thumb on the floor and over by the furnace there was a large red button, there was some argument as to should we push it or not but in the end Kieran pushed it - against Dilshen's 'better' judgment. There was a slight scraping noise and control panels came out of the walls
"I told you it was a good idea" Kieran told us
"We never said it was bad" Dilshen replied. So anyway, me Kieran, Kim and Maddi went down the 'lift' Kieran had found and found a alien hand bone to operate to touch pad, once we had found one we wasted no time getting back up to the spaceship. But Dilshen was..........................................................................................................................

4:00pm Day 3
We found Dilshen, or rather, Dilshen found us. When we were gone a door had opened up into a room that had strange carvings on the walls, when he looked closer he realized that they were the shapes of humans and aliens. Dilshen pressed himself into on of the carvings and two levers came out from the wall with buttons on the end. He pressed one, and a clear wall came down, sealing him inside. He pressed the other and the capsule shot up. Dilshen found that he could control the capsule by moving the levers around. As he flew over the island he saw other people in our class but could not recognize them. He flew back and landed the capsule out side our spaceship by that time we were back and were able to let him in. The bone, when pressed on the touch pad unlocked hidden cameras all over the island and we were able to look everywhere on the island.
4:36pm Day 3

"Explain" I demanded
"Well I was walking around and saw this so I just-"

Day 2
9:00 pm
We (Our group) are sitting around the small camp fire in a strange cave. At 11:30 this morning we set off again for the small mountain. Before we had climbed very far the soft dirt turned to 1.5 meter high and 0.5 meter wide limestone blocks . They were ancient and mossy with trees and plants growing from the cracks, and we decided to climb up them. Once we had climbed up the first we discovered there was another layer, and another layer, and another layer. We had gone up about 28 layers when we found a block was missing, and that there were steps, of the same 1.5 x 0.5 m blocks going down inside the cave. Dilshen and Kieran decided that they would go down into the cave, They tied the ropes around their waists while Kim held one rope and I held the other. They started to go down,
"Wait!" Maddi called and threw Dilshen the torch,
"Take this, but I don't think it works!"
"I don't think it likes you" Kieran said flicking the torch on
"Shut up" Maddi replied. After 30 minuets Kieran yelled up to us
"Let go of the ropes!" awhile later we heard a shrill whistle, and Maddi went in. 20 minuets later a very dusty Maddi interrupted Me and Kim's game of knucklebones, with Dilshen walking behind her. After they explained what had happened to them I wrote it down in my diary so here it is;
"Dilshen and Kieran were jumping down the steps until they came to the bottom and continued walking along in the passage way, Kieran noticed carvings on the side of the walls, the prominent carving was an eye with a long stalk with a spiral on the end. Kieran drew one on his and Dilshen's hands. They came to a fork in the road, Kieran wanted to split up but Dilshen wanted to stay together, Kieran ran off in one direction and Dishen started off down the other holding his hand against the wall, suddenly, the ground "disappeared" beneath Dilshen's feet and he fell over a cliff and landed on a ledge. That was when he whistled and Maddi went in to the cave, she found him balanced precariously on the ledge. "Help me!" Dilshen yelled, "Here, hold my hand, I'll pull you up" Maddi replied. As she pulled him up the cliff face caved in and Dilshen fell through into a niche in the wall. Inside the niche was filled with a strange powdery mass filled with the occasional hard thing. Dilshen picked one up and threw it down in disgust, it was a skull, the powdery mass was the remains of a mummified body. He crept back and something pressed into his hand, he could feel that it was an oval with pointed ends tipped off with a spiral on a long stalk, attached to the object was a chain through a loop in the top. Dilshen walked to the edge of the cave and called for Maddi, she pulled him up and they started out of the cave, as they were passing the carvings Dilshen pressed his amulet onto one of the eye shaped carvings, with a grinding noise the rock slid forward, blocking the two paths, Dilshen had sealed off the two tunnels... and... Kieran's... only... means... of... escape..."
Dilshen finished explaining his story
"Oh" Kim said
"No" I finished
"What the duck!!!" Maddi yelled.
"Laugh on line Zebraz"
"LOLZ"
"Random moment"
"Kim you killed it" Maddi and I groaned in unison
"Sup Guys" Kieran exclaimed
"KIERAN!!!" We yelled
"Hows Life" I asked
"The usual, falling into pits filled with bones, You know"
"As you do, WHAT!!!!!! Pits filled with bones!!!!!! What the Hey are you on!?!?!?"
"There was a furnace to, and I found this-" It was a pendant the same as Dilshen's one except the iris of the eye was molded into a different shape, a 10 pointed star, not a 5 pointed one.
"So, whats the goss" I started
"Your meaning?" Kieran asked
"What my friend means is-" Maddi started
"Haylee asked you what happened" Dilshen cut in.
"Well, I was walking along and the passage opened into a massive room, I walked in there and noticed one of the pillars holding the roof up appeared to not be touching the roof. As I ran over to it I fell down maybe 2 meters into a pit filled with bones. I crawled along and the bones became bigger and more inhumane until I crawled out into a small tunnel that led into a bigger room than the one I was in before with a furnace in it. I looked into the furnace and saw an amulet the same as the one that was carved in the entryway, there was also a basket with levers inside I climbed into that and pulled a lever, the basket rose up into this small room with this thing and a window. I climbed out and jumped down the steps until I found you guys.
"Whats the thing?" I asked
"What are those bones?" Dilshen asked
"The thing is here" Kieran replied and showed me an Ank
"That's an Ank!" I exclaimed
"But far more important is the question Where are we going to stay tonight?" Maddi said
"In the pyramid thing" Kieran shot back. It was so obvious what to do that everyone laughed
"Nice" said Kim
"You killed it Kim" everyone groaned
"Sorry"

"There was a furnace to, and I found this-" It was a pendant the same as Dilshen's one except the iris of the eye was molded into a different shape, a 10 pointed star, not a 5 pointed one.
"So, whats the goss" I started
"Your meaning?" Kieran asked
"What my friend means is-" Maddi started
"Haylee asked you what happened" Dilshen cut in.
"Well, I was walking along and the passage opened into a massive room, I walked in there and noticed one of the pillars holding the roof up appeared to not be touching the roof. As I ran over to it I fell down maybe 2 meters into a pit filled with bones. I crawled along and the bones became bigger and more inhumane until I crawled out into a small tunnel that led into a bigger room than the one I was in before with a furnace in it. I looked into the furnace and saw an amulet the same as the one that was carved in the entryway, there was also a basket with levers inside I climbed into that and pulled a lever, the basket rose up into this small room with this thing and a window. I climbed out and jumped down the steps until I found you guys.
"Whats the thing?" I asked
"What are those bones?" Dilshen asked
"The thing is here" Kieran replied and showed me an Ank
"That's an Ank!" I exclaimed
"But far more important is the question Where are we going to stay tonight?" Maddi said
"In the pyramid thing" Kieran shot back. It was so obvious what to do that everyone laughed
"Nice" said Kim
"You killed it Kim" everyone groaned
"Sorry"

Day 1
10:00am Day 1
Everyone was exited as we pulled up to a back-packers lodge for morning tea. The drive to Kawphia harbor had been long and boring and I, for one, was glad to be of the bus. As I admired the view Kim came up to me,
“Isn’t this wonderful Haylee?” She asked, “You can see for miles up here!”
“I know, it’s great!” I replied. After the short ride from the lodge to Kaphia harbor we all climbed into a Grumman Albatross sea-plane which was to take us on the final leg of our journey to Matainui Island
11:30am Day 1
I can’t believe it!!! The Clown driving the plane crashed us!!! Apparently he never passed his pilot tests!!! Whoops – I’m getting ahead of my self, O.K, after the plane took of we were flying along fine until we flew into a storm. The plane was tilting and at one point was upside down!!! Everything was flying around like crazy and every one was screaming and then we were… Floating?!?!? I was really scared and judging by the screams around me, I wasn’t the only one. “Haylee!” Maddi screamed, it took me a while to realize she was pointing to something behind me. I half turned and saw, a little to late, that something was flying toward me. Something Big. Something Heavy. That something hit me just behind my eye and every thing went… Black.
4:00pm Day 1
My Headache was killing me and every step was making it worse. Very unpleasant. We, (Maddi, Kim, Dilshen, Kieran and I) were walking along toward the biggest beach on the island to camp for the night. According to Kim, After we crashed she found me unconscious and towed me to the shore, shortly after which I woke up. Our group had decided to camp on the small mountain and I was to sore and tired to argue. We arrived at the beach and quickly put up the tent, later as I was drifting of to sleep I noticed something strange, there were Storm clouds surrounding the is land getting closer and closer. Suddenly they stopped 200 meters of shore and the sky above us was black, completely devoid of both stars and clouds. Strange, I thought, and fell asleep.
